My new little project – Google Sniper
I was quite taken with George Brown’s ideas when he launched the Google Sniper system recently. So I’ve decided to put the whole system to the test.
I have already set up a sub-niche site base on this system and the results have been modest, but nonetheless, the site has started to break into the first page of google for it’s main keyword phrase. But this is just small frystuff, so I’ve decided to see if I can get onto the first page of google for a mega competitive niche, just using the principles of his system. Namely:
- Pick the right keyword phrase
- Research the phrase for other relavent phrases
- Pick the right domain name
- Plan and build the site in precisely the right way
- Promote in the right way (but not a lot!)
So, I’ve done the reasearch and I’m going to go for the following – The phrase has 12,000 EXACT searches per month (the keyword phrase is in “quotes”) and 617,000 competing results (with “quotes”) and 870,000 competing results (no quotes).
Now, within the system, these figures would be discounted (too much competition) but I thought if I could crack it with these figures, then the possiblities are endless. Also I was lucky in finding the exact phrase as a domain name, so that tipped it for me.
So at the moment all I’ve got is a brand new domain name, that is yet to be indexed by google.
I’ll let you know how I get on in the next few days and weeks…….
