The Guru’s Club, lists, and ever decreasing circles

Just a quick post to vent my spleen at the ever more back alley world of internet marketing. Why, because this is how it goes these days:

  1. You end up on someones list.
  2. They send you a great email about the secret that’s stopping you from making money online.
  3. You buy…..
  4. After a month or so you’ve not made the money you thought you should (or where promised)
  5. Oh look there’s an email from your original saviour about his mate Bill, Raj, Jay or whoever, who’s found another way to make a mint online.
  6. You visit that link and watch a video that tells you how crap you are, but don’t worry he knows how you feel, and has found away for you to succeed, enter you email for more info…
  7. You spend your $47 (Not $197, not $97 but just for you $47!!!!!) Download it and find out it’s almost all you need to know, but gets suspiciously vague when it needs to be very specific.
  8. So disappointed you carry on you life until…
  9. You get an email from Bill, Raj or Jay telling you about his mate Ken, Rodger or Dodger, who’s making $200000000 a second from a little known system using Twitter, Web 2.0 (why the ‘0′) Facebook and a search engine called Claptrap, and guess what, he’s letting you in on the secret. Nice fellow.
  10. All yours for just $497 (why does it always end in 7?)

Now these guys are making money, but can you now see how? Do you ever wonder how they make $10000 in a weekend? Product Launches. Which are done by emailing their lists and their mates lists. A proper little club.Everybody wake up, these guys are basically selling off each others lists. List full of people who need to make money and who place there trust in them, but these guys ply them with rubbish and then show you the Ferrari that got from selling the crap!!

I make plenty of money, and I sleep well at night.

The only ‘gurus’ I still subscribe to are the following: Frank Kern, Ed Dale, Perry Marshall, Mack Micheals and Tony Robbins (I know he’s not a IM Guru but he makes a lot of sense)

Just listen to those guys (and me if you like) and you will make money online.
